Four Vikings Players, Caribou Coffee Partner to Support Amy's Blend

Four Minnesota Vikings players will set aside their cleats for a barista apron on Tuesday afternoon. Linebackers Chad Greenway and Eric Kendricks, along with defensive ends Brian Robison and Everson Griffen will be serving as baristas at four Caribou Coffee locations in the Twin Cities. The local coffee chain is welcoming the Vikings players to help contribute to the company’s Amy’s Blend Program.

Amy’s Blend is a coffee roast in memory of Amy Erickson, one of Caribou Coffee’s first roastmasters. Amy was loved by her co-workers for her contagious enthusiasm. Erickson lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995. To honor Amy, Caribou Coffee created a special coffee blend to raise money for CANCERCARE®.

CANCERCARE® is a non-profit organization helping those who are experiencing forms of cancer in the Twin Cities community.

Caribou Coffee is selling Amy’s Blend this month, and according to the coffee house, this exclusive blend combines sweet and floral aromas with fruit undertones and a clean finish.

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Minnesota Vikings are partnering with Caribou Coffee to raise awareness for the Amy’s Blend program.

Between 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25th, Eric Kendricks, Brian Robison, Chad Greenway and Everson Griffen will be baristas at several Caribou Coffee locations. This is the perfect opportunity for Vikings fans to meet their favorite players and impact the local community. For each cup of Amy’s Blend purchased, Caribou Coffee will donate a cup of coffee to a Twin Cities hospital. Along with the charitable incentive, each Caribou location will be giving away Vikings tickets.

If you or anyone you know has been impacted with cancer, you know the importance of resources for patients and their families. Amy’s Blend and CANCERCARE® are using coffee to raise money for these programs.
