Daniel House

As a young high school student I decided to pursue my dream during my freshman year in high school. I wanted to combine my love for writing and sports by starting my own website. The beginning of this process was seen solely as an operation to have fun and grow as a writer. After about a year of running this website, people wanted more content. I made it bigger, applied for a business license, and grew Vikings Corner to a level I never anticipated. The website has become one of the top Vikings blogs currently on the web. With more than 11,000 Twitter followers and a steady readership, I have connected with passionate Vikings fans across the globe. I have gained so much valuable experience, while partnering with the likes of ESPN, Priority Sports, and many others for specific projects. I have covered the team during the NFL Draft at Winter Park, spent the duration of training camp watching from the sidelines, and have interviewed a countless number of players in my young career. Vikings Corner just recently turned seven years old and has become more than just a website -- it has become a community. There is nothing I enjoy more than connecting with fans and continuing to follow my passion. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in professional journalism. I hope to continue sharing stories with the world in my career. There is nothing more rewarding than crafting a valuable feature with an athlete. I have written lifestyle stories, covered events, and talked with hundreds of players. I continue to work hard at developing my craft and I never settle for anything less than perfection. I owe much of the success of this website to many of my mentors who have believed in me over the years. More importantly, I can't thank all of the readers of this website enough for their continued support. Your readership and words of encouragement mean more than you know. This is the only beginning of my journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
I'm always willing to chat if you send me an email at vikings.corner@gmail.com, connect with me on LinkedIn, or follow me on Twitter, @DanielHouseNFL/@VikingsCorner.

Do you see that Ponder is comparable to Alex Smith? Both of them are very smart and struggled in the beginning of their careers.

Thanks for the question Bruce. I like the things that Ponder is doing early in camp. He just needs more confidence and consistency. Smith has struggled in his career and could be labeled comparable to Ponder, but I think Ponder has won more big games already than Smith has in his career.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it really about fear? Ponder ducks and runs while other successful quarterbacks hang in there and complete the pass in the pocket. Seems like he just can't read the defense fast enough to hang in there and then he panics.
ReplyDeleteI believe I heard that you're from Barron, WI. Any chance you know my cousin Ryan Erickson?
ReplyDeleteYes, I do! Good dude! Thanks for reaching out, Tim!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the NFL DRAFT EXPERIENCE. It truly was a once in a lifetime thing! Tony Pegel did a WONDERFUL JOB organizing the NASHVILLE NORSEMEN for this event. He gives away prizes at Wilhagen's, and pays for them out of his own pocket... It would be a nice gesture, on behalf of the Vikings Organization; to send him give-a-ways.
ReplyDeleteI want to personally THANK YOU for the NFL DRAFT EXPERIENCE and I hope you enjoyed your time in DRAFTVILLE!
