Adrian Peterson Comments and Video

A video has been released showing the arrest of Adrian Peterson. The video shot presumably by an eyewitness shows nothing revealing but a loud commotion. If you would like to view the video here it is: http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/08/adrian-peterson-arrest-video/.

Adrian Peterson finally broke his silence at 1:54 pm on Sunday afternoon tweeting, "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on - WC." Peterson was referencing the late prime minister of Great Britain.

A couple of minutes later, Peterson tweeted his thoughts in his own words,"Thank you for waiting for the facts," Peterson wrote. "Truth will surface."

Peterson spent 8 hours in custody until he was released from jail on $1,000 bond early Saturday morning. Peterson was charged with resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor, after the alleged altercation at Live at Bayou club in Houston.

Peterson will appear in court this Friday for an initial appearance.

My take as a Vikings fan is that there is more to this story and as fans we need to remain patient for more facts to come out. Many people involved in the situation seem to have different views about what really occurred Saturday evening. Police say he pushed an off-duty police officer. One eyewitness says that the officer was very aggressive. But the club manager says Peterson was highly intoxicated. The video doesn't show enough for us to see what truly happened, but video surveillance at the club will show the true events that occurred.

Remain positive and we will find out what really happened to the best running back in the National Football League!
