Here is Daniel House's NFL Mock Draft 4.0:


1. Houston Texans- Jadaveon Clowney- DE: South Carolina- I've had the Texans drafting a quarterback in each mock draft that I have formulated this year. I see this trend changing after the team made a commitment to Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Texans are going to focus on developing a debilitating defense, while adding a developmental quarterback later in the draft. Clowney is a freak and with J.J. Watt and Jadaveon Clowney coming off the edge for this team, the Texans won't be able to resist. 

2. St. Louis Rams- Greg Robinson- OT: Auburn- After an amazing scouting combine, where Greg Robinson ran a blazing 4.84 40-yard dash, he improved his draft status significantly. He is a freak athlete, who is an extremely fearsome run blocker. With some work on his pass protection skills, he could be one of the best offensive lineman to enter the draft recently. The Rams have another first round pick at the 13th slot and can draft the best available player at this juncture of the draft. 

3. Jacksonville Jaguars- Khalil Mack- DE/OLB: Louisville- Rumors around the league have indicated the Jaguars will still address their defensive front despite the signing of Chris Clemons. Khalil Mack is one of the best pass rushers to enter the draft in recent seasons and could be selected ahead of Jadaveon Clowney if all the stars align. The Jags need a quarterback and it appears via league circles that the team has made a commitment to draft quarterback later in the draft in an effort to draft value with this pick. Start Mack and make Clemons a situational pass rusher and the Jags are looking solid on the defensive side of the ball.

4. Cleveland Browns- Sammy Watkins- WR: Clemson- The Browns have flexibility, especially since they have a draft pick late in the first round, as well. They are in the perfect position late in the draft to add a quarterback who takes a tumble, while adding a playmaker at this selection. Pair the athletic skill-set of Sammy Watkins with Josh Gordon and the Browns have a potent offensive attack. Players like Sammy Watkins don't come along very often and the Browns will be moronic if they do not see that.

5. Oakland Raiders- Derek Carr- QB: Fresno State- The Raiders apparently have a massive crush on quarterback Derek Carr. Oakland sent their entire coaching staff to Carr's pro day and reportedly came away very impressed. The Raiders passing game ranked with the worst in the league last season and it started with inconsistency at the quarterback position. Carr had an impressive workout at the combine and added more cushion during his pro day to make me believe this pick isn't completely off base. 

6. Atlanta Falcons- Jake Matthews- OT: Texas A&M- The Falcons can't land one of the top pass rushers unless they trade up, which is a possibility, but seems unlikely at the cost. They instead settle for Jake Matthews and select value, while improving a position of need. Matt Ryan couldn't stay on his feet last season and after the beating he took on a weekly basis, the Falcons really need to address this position in order to win ball games. 

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Mike Evans- WR: Texas A&M- The Bucs really need a dynamic playmaker to compliment Vincent Jackson in their offense. They won't draft a quarterback with the pick, especially since they just added Josh McCown and already have a young quarterback in Mike Glennon. Instead, they add Mike Evans, who may be one of the most sure-handed wide receivers in this draft class. He is a big-bodied player that has extremely precise footwork and great hands in traffic. The Bucs can't land Sammy Watkins, but they add the second best option in this draft. 

8. Minnesota Vikings- Johnny Manziel- QB: Texas A&M- You all know I absolutely love Johnny Manziel and think he is the best quarterback in this class. This draft has a surprising trend and actually has the first quarterback selected being Derek Carr. I think this could really be a reality because teams are worried about reaching too high for quarterback and coming up empty handed. The Vikings wouldn't have any pressure here because they would be selecting Manziel as value, while addressing a position of need. Manziel dazzled at his pro day workout and fits the persona the Vikings are looking for in a quarterback. Manziel has been compared to the hallowed Fran Tarkenton and would provide the Vikings the energy injection they have been yearning for at the quarterback position. Questions about his size, work ethic, and ability to stay focused will cause him to fall into the Vikings lap. With the team moving into a new stadium in two years, they can't pass up the temptation to draft a quarterback who knows how to win football games and lead teams to victory, which he did continually during his time at Texas A&M.

9. Buffalo Bills- Taylor Lewan- OT: Michigan- Offensive tackle is a need for the Buffalo Bills as the right side of the offensive line was in ruins last season. With Greg Robinson’s stock taking a rise, the Bills will still land one of the best offensive tackles to enter the draft in recent seasons.Taylor Lewan has tremendous athletic ability and is able to pass protect with stupendous footwork. With an extremely deep class of offensive tackles in 2014, it seems like the Bills will be striking gold, while filling a need at the same time.

10. Detroit Lions- Justin Gilbert- CB: Oklahoma State- The Lions added Golden Tate to address their issues at wide receiver, which means they can focus their complete attention to their secondary. Justin Gilbert could fix many of the coverages issues the Lions have faced over recent seasons. He has tremendous speed and athleticism, along footwork that is on par with some of the best in this class. He separated himself at the combine and in a division with talented wide receivers, the Lions need an elite cornerback.

11. Tennessee Titans- Anthony Barr- OLB/DE: UCLA- The Titans addressed offensive line and inside linebacker in free agency and now have two definite needs. They need a speed pass rusher and cornerback, but with Justin Gilbert off the board, they will add value and a position of need instead. The Titans are switching to the 3-4 defensive scheme, which would be the perfect scenario for them to select Anthony Barr at this pick. Barr is great at forcing turnovers and his size and athleticism are strong, but with more polishing of his raw tangibles, he could become an elite pass rusher in the NFL.

12. New York Giants- Eric Ebron- TE: North Carolina- The Giants addressed their offensive line issues in free agency and will turn their attention to adding playmakers on the offensive side of the ball in the draft. Eric Ebron is the definition of a playmaker and has the freak athletic ability that is necessary at this position. Eli Manning hasn't had a solid tight end in recent seasons and needs a reliable safety valve when things don't go right down the field. Throw the ball up to Ebron and you are almost certain he will come down with it. 

13. St. Louis Rams- Blake Bortles: QB: Central Florida- Wowza! Nobody saw this coming! The Rams decided to address offensive line early in the draft, but Blake Bortles fell into their lap at this pick. St. Louis isn't happy with Sam Bradford and could release him following the draft if they were able to secure Bortles at this pick. Teams are worried about Bortles footwork and accuracy down the field, which was a direct reflection of why I have him falling this far in the draft. The Rams would have a solid defense, a good group of playmakers, a top quarterback, and a team that could do some damage. 

14. Chicago Bears- Aaron Donald- DT: Pittsburgh- The Bears haven't had a player on the defensive front that has caused havoc since the days of Tommie Harris. This team really needs a massive and versatile defensive tackle that can push the pocket inside. Aaron Donald is rising up the draft board after an awesome combine which showcased his versatility and athletic abilities. Donald can be a very solid run defender, but his ability to rush the passer is also rather enticing. The Bears added Jared Allen to their defensive front and by placing Donald into the fold, they would have a solid front seven.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers- Darqueze Dennard- CB: Michigan State- People are questioning the competition that Darqueze Dennard lined up next to last season in the Big Ten. I don't see this as an issue and considering his amazing athletic abilities and physical skills at the position, I don't see how he falls outside the top-15. The Steelers need to upgrade the play of Ike Taylor and Dennard is the perfect candidate to fill the position. Dennard is very physical and can out hustle wide receivers and get them very frustrated. The Steelers need to find an athletic specimen to develop and Dennard perfectly fits that mold.

16. Dallas Cowboys- Timmy Jernigan- DT: Florida State- The Cowboys just signed Henry Melton, but this won't prevent them from adding a versatile defensive lineman to the fold. Timmy Jernigan could provide the run stuffing abilities, while Melton could be a situational pass rusher in the middle of the defense. The Cowboys need to rush the passer and now that they lost Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware, this will be even more paramount. 

17. Baltimore Ravens- C.J. Mosley- ILB: Alabama- The Ravens addressed wide receiver in free agency and will now turn their attention to patching holes among their defense. C.J. Mosley could fill the role that Ray Lewis provided for many seasons in Baltimore. Mosley is an immediate plug and play linebacker who is extremely athletic and physical. The Ravens were exploited at linebacker last season and they simply cannot pass up a talented SEC linebacker like Mosley. 

18. New York Jets- Maquise Lee- WR: USC- Marquise Lee has continued to move up and down the draft boards, but it is certain he won't fall past the Jets at this pick. Lee is a very good vertical threat down the field, but questions surrounding his durability have caused his stock to fall. He played very well last season, but was injured during a portion of the season, which caused him to miss action. The Jets added Eric Decker, but will need another playmaker for Mike Vick to throw to this season. 

19. Miami Dolphins- Zack Martin- OT: Notre Dame- The Dolphins never recovered from losing Jake Long last season and it effected their play last season. Well, the Jonathan Martin and Incognito scandal played into this as well, but let's just put that one away forever. Nonetheless, Ryan Tannehill was on his back for the majority of the snaps last season and after the Dolphins fell flat on their face with Jonathan Martin, they need to redeem themselves. Zack Martin is a smart four-year starter and is able to get to the second level with the best of the offensive tackles in this class. He needs work as a pass blocker and needs to show more consistency in this avenue, but his awesome Senior Bowl performance will help his draft stock.

20. Arizona Cardinals- Kony Ealy- DE: Missouri- Darnell Dockett turns 33 in May, which means the Cardinals really need to develop a versatile pass rusher for the future. Kony Ealy has bundles of raw potential that is waiting to be developed. The Cardinals are in desperate need of a dominant front seven and Ealy has the potential to become a very dynamic pass rusher for this team. The main area of concern will be whether his skills can translate to the big stage of the NFL. 

21. Green Bay Packers- Ha-Ha Clinton Dix- S: Alabama- Ha-Ha Clinton Dix took a massive tumble and the Packers will have this pick to the podium very quickly if this is the case. Clinton-Dix has competed at a high level in one of the best conferences in college football, while posting terrific statistics. He won't be a fearsome hitter, but his ball skills are the best in this draft class. The Packers were destroyed in the back end of their defense and it seems highly likely this pick will be Calvin Pryor or Ha-Ha Clinton Dix if one of them is available. 

22. Philadelphia Eagles- Brandin Cooks- WR: Oregon State- The Eagles released DeSean Jackson this week, which means this pick now has a very high probability of being a wide receiver. Brandin Cooks is a speedy wide receiver who has stellar hands and brilliant footwork. He could fill in seamlessly for Jackson and is a spitting image of Steve Smith when he entered the league. Cook is very raw and with some development in Chip Kelly's scheme, he could be very successful.

23. Kansas City Chiefs- Calvin Pryor- S: Louisville- The Chiefs big need is at safety and with three of their safeties in free agency, it seems likely they will use this pick to draft back end defensive help. In this instance, they were very lucky to have a freak athlete like Calvin Pryor fall into their lap. Pryor is one of the hardest hitting safeties to enter the draft in recent seasons and if Kansas City can pair him with Eric Berry, they will be sitting nicely on defense. 

24. Cincinnati Bengals- Dee Ford- DE/OLB: Auburn- After losing Carlos Dunlap and Michael Johnson, the Bengals need to add a dynamic edge pass rusher to their defense. Look no further than Dee Ford from Auburn. Ford blew up at the Senior Bowl, but injuries have plagued his ability to see his draft stock rise. He has a huge stature that is the best in the draft, with stellar footwork that has caused him to wreak havoc on opposing defenses. This pick may be a slight reach, but the Bengals like the potential they see from Dee Ford. 

25. San Diego Chargers- Bradley Roby- CB: Ohio State- The Chargers cornerbacks were atrocious last season and made some of the worst quarterbacks in the league look like Pro Bowlers. Bradley Roby struggled during some points of the 2013 season at Ohio State, but seemed to put it all together at the end of the season. Roby is an athletic specimen who has superior speed on the edge of the defense. The Chargers really need to add a playmaker in their secondary and with some development, Bradley Roby could be their guy.

26. Cleveland Browns- Teddy Bridgewater- QB: Louisville- The Browns were patient and got very, very, lucky at this juncture of the draft. Teams were scared of Teddy Bridgewater's pro day and the competition he faced in college, which resulted in his plummet down the draft board. The Browns were able to add Sammy Watkins and with Josh Gordon already in the fold, they are becoming explosive. Add Bridgewater to the mix and the Cleveland Browns have plenty of offensive potential.

27. New Orleans Saints- Jason Verrett- CB: TCU- Rob Ryan quickly turned the Saints defense around, but their secondary still leaves little to be desired. To suffice, Malcolm Jenkins is a free agent and that worries the defensive staff in New Orleans. The Saints face top-tier passing attacks every week in the NFC South and if their pass defense continues to regress, things could get out of hand quickly. Jason Verrett is very undersized, but his speed and athleticism are second to none for a player at his position. A shoulder injury has caused Verrett to be placed with a slight red flag, but people from his camp said the injury at the scouting combine would have no long-term effects.

28. Carolina Panthers- Odell Beckham Jr.- WR: LSU- The Panthers are in a very bad position and need to draft a wide receiver that can contribute immediately. They lost Steve Smith in free agency and with an already weak wide receiver corps, Carolina has a bare cupboard. Odell Beckham Jr. has significantly improved his draft stock and after an amazing scouting combine, he has put himself into 1st round consideration. His 4.43 40-yard dash caused scouts jaws to drop and many among the NFL are impressed with his speed and playmaking abilities. The Panthers could plug him into the outside or in the slot and he could make major plays for Cam Newton. 
29. New England Patriots- Louis Nix- NT: Notre Dame- The Patriots resigned Vince Wilfork to a cheap contract this week, but it doesn't mean they wouldn't select Louis Nix if he fell to the bottom of the draft. Nix lost 23 pounds before the combine and is quick and nimble for a man with a massive frame. The Patriots can develop Nix this season and put him into the starting rotation the following year. 

30. San Francisco 49ers- Kelvin Benjamin- WR: Florida State- The 49ers resigned Anquan Boldin, but he won't be around much longer for this team. In addition, Mario Manningham left for the Giants, which means the 49ers need a deep threat to attack defense's up the field. Kelvin Benjamin fits that mold and with superior size and playmaking abilities, Jim Harbaugh can't resist that temptations that surround Benjamin.

31. Denver Broncos- David Yankey- OG: Stanford- The Broncos lost the Super Bowl because they couldn't protect Peyton Manning adequately and this trend was witnessed throughout the season. David Yankey can provide help in this avenue in both pass protection and run blocking. He is great at getting to the second level and is an extremely intelligent football player. The top priority for the Broncos is to protect their savior and adding Yankey would be the best way to do so.

32. Seattle Seahawks- Morgan Moses- OT: Virginia- Morgan Moses has excellent size and strength and his name is starting to intensify as the draft approaches. The Seahawks need someone to replace Breno Giacomini and Moses could instantly do so. He won't provide a massive amount of athleticism, but is a great pass protector.
