Randle signs to Vikings practice squad
This morning the team announced Bradley Randle has been signed to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad. Running back Joe Banyard was released from the eight-man practice squad to make room for Randle.
The 5'7" undrafted rookie has displayed his speed, play-making ability, and infectious energy to succeed during his time at Vikings training camp. He has slowly become a fan favorite on social media and has connected with the fans of this market.
Randle saw limited time during the preseason, but rushed for 30 yards on just 7 carries, while recording a 4.3 yards per carry average.
He was released during the first wave of roster cuts on August 26th and cleared waivers the following day. He now joins the squad today for practice.
We will have an interview with Bradley soon, discussing his journey back to the team. Stay tuned.

I'm happy about this news, but do you have any idea why Banyard was released so quickly?
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but I know they loved Bradley's versatility. I wonder if Banyard had little desire to sit on the practice squad and thought he would have opportunities at a 53-man roster elsewhere.
